About the event
Learn the art of coiled pine needle basketry! This beginner-friendly workshop will teach you basic coiling technique using longleaf pine needles with a chain stitch. All materials, including pine needles, thread, tapestry needles, and basket bases are provided. Students will receive a a brief history of pine needle basketry as a craft, tips for foraging their own basket supplies, and will leave with their own small basket.
