About the event
There’s something deeply satisfying about opening a book and seeing your name nestled inside, like a tiny flag planted in a world you’ve claimed as your own. In this workshop, we’ll dive into the charmingly tactile world of block printing, where ink, texture, and a little bit of patience come together to create something both practical and personal. You’ll learn the basics of relief carving: how to transfer your design, carve safely and effectively, and ink your stamp for crisp, beautiful impressions.
Each participant will design and carve your very own personalized bookplate stamp, tailored to your style, whether that’s classically elegant or playfully illustrated. If you don’t consider yourself the best designer, no worries! We’ll have easy templates for you to mix ‘n match. Once carved, we’ll mount your stamp onto a customized wooden base, transforming it into a sturdy tool ready to impress upon every book in your…
