About the event
Participants will learn how to design and complete a no sew quilt using the techniques of kinusaiga. Kris will guide participants through the process of creating a successful design, demonstrating how to cut and apply colorful fabrics to create a beautiful 6x6 work of art that will be ready to take home and display by the end of the class.

About the Instructor, Kris Bespalec
Kris Bespalec is a researcher, educator, and multi-disciplinary artist focused on community building through interpretive history, site specific installation, and physical narratives.
She is the Manager of School and Community Programs at the Hunter Museum of American Art in Chattanooga. Bespalec holds advanced degrees in sculpture and education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has taught sculpture and art history both there and at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga.
