Indigo Dye Tote Bag

Participants will explore the rich history and cultural significance of indigo dyeing and its many uses around the world. During the workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of indigo dyeing, including the techniques and processes used to create unique patterns and designs on fabric.

Using cotton fabric bags, participants will experiment with folding, tying, and masking techniques to create a variety of resist patterns. They will then dye their bags in indigo, learning how the dye develops and transforms the fabric throughout the process. By the end of the class, each participant will have created their own one-of-a-kind indigo-dyed cotton bag, which will be rinsed, finished, and ready to take home.
